During the winter, try to set your home thermostat a bit lower than the usual and at summer, set it a bit higher. The changes of temperature inside your home will go unnoticed not until in extreme weather. By doing this, you are saving up on fossil fuel consumption and save a lot of money from your utility bill.
Every year Americans are wasting precious fossil fuel by leaving their cars idle. Leaving your cars idle wastes about 2.9 billions of gas every year. It also slowly degrades the quality of your car too.
Baths tend to waste more water than showers. So, take showers instead of baths. Baths usually take twice the amount of water than showers. And in fact, environmentalists are now agreeing to the fact that you should shower together with your partner to save water and electricity from heating water.
Finally, you can pay your bills online. This saves you the time and effort in driving down to pay your bills. Plus, it also conserves paper from being used for printing your bills.
These are just the small steps you can do to help save the environment that have major impacts in our lives. You might not feel the effort today but in the long run, you will thank yourself for being able to help take good care of Mother Nature.
