Confidence Tips in a Magician Show
A lot of times for a beginner and young magician when we’re preparing to raise into that stage, we tremble too much. Such a thing happens to me each time last time. But right now, I do have overcome this trembling after learning these hints. They have reduced the problem tremendously in my magic show. This article is on the subject of method to gain confidence on your magic show. This really is perhaps the most important part of becoming a great magician.
Confidence comes through knowledge and confirmation. You’ll want to be certain of all things will be fine. If you haven’t practice enough, your brain is going to take over and then your confidence will drop. However, if you happen to practice hard enough, you’ll have confidence. It is all concerning your mind.
Confidence is more associated with a mood and psychic condition more than the amount you practiced. You will have to inject the mood to feel confidence. Another point you might want to remember is do not worry too much. This will help you not to feel too guilty if you make a mistake.
Develop presentation that will fit your style, these are where your confidence will boost. If your presentation is something that best suits you, you feel much comfortable because that presentation is all dealing with being yourself.
As they say, practice makes perfect. Let’s pretend you happen to be practicing a sleight. Do it repeatedly, the task will come as an auto pilot for you. You don’t need to focus on the sleight. This can increase your confidence. You can easily concentrate on your presentation this way. The best way would be to practice and rehearse everyday so the presentation will come as automatic to you.
As a magician, we may have some times what we call a bad day. If you happen to get no response from your audience, it isn’t really a failure. It’s simply called feedback. Think of it that way. Take advantage of this feedback to help you strengthen your presentation.
Know what to do in the event you mess up! Have always a backup plan. Come up with several ways to get out of a situation when something fails. This will certainly help in your confidence as well.
Magicians often forget about this, but plan when you want an applause or other reaction from the audience! If you didn’t plan, an unexpected audience reaction can ruin your timing. This in turn can disturb your concentration, and makes you lose confidence. You must let them know that they are allowed to react. The simplest thing to do is to simply pause when the audience react. If you don’t plan for any reaction time, you will get a scattered applause. You definitely don’t want that.
Lastly, don’t worry! Most importantly, be happy with your presentation, if somehow you screw up, just get on with the show. Nothing bad will happen. Just switch to Plan B.
