Discovering Types of Stress
I was living in a continual state of stress and my life was beginning to show the impact it was having on me emotionally and physically. It was affecting my marriage, my youngsters, my mates and even my work. I didn't know where to go, the uneasiness and even fear in my life was growing every day.
As you will know, there are a few types of stress and they're placed into 3 major classes. The most common type of stress is acute stress. Often acute stress can be exciting, if it comes about in controlled doses it can be an adrenaline kick and extraordinarily exciting. But acute stress in larger doses can have quite the reverse impact in our lives. Acute stress is the kind of stress that's shorter in nature.
It could be a problem at work or difficulty at home. It might be a short term illness or a few bills stacking faster than the cash available to pay them. Acute stress can cause everybody to feel rather overwhelmed. Although it is usually short in nature it can still cause nervousness, headaches, the heart thrashing more rapid and even raised blood pressure. Yet acute stress is often extremely controllable.
Episodic stress is commonly character related. If you're a very centered person and you have to get things done now that may also lead straight to stress. A type A person can get more stressed than one who is laid back and calm in their lifestyle. Ever been around somebody or perhaps this is you where there's constant stress in the room? Often times an episodic stress individual is the leader or the go getter in the room. They can face physical Problems like elevated blood pressure and even heart attacks.
Chronic stress is that never ceasing stress of life arriving from events of life that just keep occuring. It is like you can't get a break in life. Ever watched the ocean during a tempest and the waves are unrelenting, one after another. Some times in life the bad events in life appear like the relentless waves, one after another. Protracted stress can be terribly traumatic. It can end up in all sorts of physical Problems such as, muscular Problems, stomach pains, headaches, nervousness, and even bowel issues
