How to Forgive Someone – It’s God’s Way
When we’ve been hurt by somebody else and maybe it had been a deep hurt and the wound simply is not healing there’s a way. It is God’s way and His way is always much better. You see you’re not happy to forgive is eating you alive not the one who brought on the harm. Isn’t that fascinating, you did no wrong, or so you assert, and the one who hurt you continues to harm you even though they don’t seem to be involved in your life today. Yes they’re involved and they are going to be until you make a decision to forgive them. You will ask, “Well I don’t have to forgive this person because they haven’t ask for forgiveness.”
Not forgiving someone that did you wrong isn't God’s way. It really isn't about them, it is about you and your willingness to hear God. It is about you and your relationship with your Heavenly Father.
If one has hurt me and the wounds are very deep and they have not asked for forgiveness I'm imagine to, according to God, forgive them? That's a good summation of forgiving others. Let me share a little from God’s viewpoint. He cares about you and He would like for you to live a life of joy, peace and one where you are happy about what tomorrow will bring.
He will deal with the person who brought you agony. He does not need us to act as the judge over them. His simple desire is for each of us to transform and to grow more Christ like, it’s called sanctification. Becoming more Christ like. Now who do you suspect will bring a larger change in the one who hurt you, you or God.
Like all things in life they are better left to Him and than taken on ourselves. If He is saying forgive just do it and then you'll see some superb results. It is like that with God in everything we give to Him.Forgiving Others is a great article.
