The One Thing Constant Is Change
Appearances can be deceptive. Something flaunting as new might actually be old. New days are generally spent with the same people. Events happen to you all the time. They may seem new to you, but they might just be repetitions of an old pattern. This world of ours runs in cycles. Hence, names and places change over time but people remain the same. Every human in the world has the same trends of selfishness, greed, cruelty, compassion or kindness.
Your past and future exist for you only if you think from the present moment in time. They are what control your influx of emotions and influence the way you see the world.
Also, human reactions are the same as ever before, even though we claim to live in a modern day and age. As the time moves on, the things and the mode of living changes with it.
No matter what, human nature remains the same. This is reflected in the way people respond to different situations and interact with each other. Events may be altered with time, but the way people work does not.
Plus, the hopes that this world will get kinder have not worn away with time. Our love and forbearance for fellow human beings both as individuals and nations, has not kept abreast of the rapid increase in knowledge.
Some people may deal with each other better than others do, but generally speaking, we treat fellow humans the same. This is the way it is for all relationships, families, towns, cities, nations and even the world. Based on the state of affairs, a person is capable of almost anything at a given time.
From experience though, you must already know that the secret to dealing with others lies in how you respond to them and what they in turn decide on doing or not doing. And of course, you have control over how you react.
‘Pride goes before a fall’ keep this in mind and if human nature is unchanging, then change you. The fear that we might not be able to fulfill our needs, both material and emotional, is what keeps us from letting go of those inflated egos and stubborn beliefs.
